Welcome to Kids Crafty Clubs Learning Centre
We are a family-owned and operated Early Learning Centre, proudly nestled in the heart of Howick.
For over 35 years, we have been supporting tamariki to learn, grow, develop and become the best versions of themselves in a warm, nurturing environment.
When tamariki finish their early learning journey with us, they can continue their next adventure at KCC Kids Club. Our programmes work closely together, allowing us to continue supporting our tamariki as they transition into and navigate their school years.
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm, 52 weeks of the year, closing only on public holidays.

Our goal at KCC is to provide all children with a comfortable, creative, nurturing and educational environment in which each child can develop at his or her individual pace.
We focus on play, social development, and ready for school in our beautiful indoor and outdoor environments.
We encourage good self-esteem and fun for our tamariki, both of which we believe are foundations of learning.
We celebrate all cultures and value each child’s own identity.
Kaiako value every moment as an opportunity for learning, and through the freedom of play, each child is supported to thrive on their unique learning journey.

Our Learning Spaces
Baby Daycare & Early Learning – Tui House
Tui House is our nurturing space for our youngest tamariki, offering care and support in a warm and welcoming environment.
With its own outdoor area separate from our older children, our babies have space to explore, play and grow at their own pace.
Toddler Daycare & Early Learning – Kowhai House
Kowhai House provides extended care and support for our toddlers in a spacious learning environment filled with exciting resources and opportunities to explore.
Our toddlers also share our large outdoor space with our preschool children, creating opportunities to learn alongside and build relationships with older tamariki.
Preschool & School Readiness – 4's+ Learning Hub, Phoenix House
Phoenix House is home to our dedicated 4's+ Learning Hub, supporting our older tamariki as they build confidence, independence and important skills for their transition to school.
Through focused learning experiences and hands-on opportunities, children are encouraged to develop responsibility, self-help skills and confidence for their next journey.

At Kids Crafty Clubs, we believe every child deserves a day filled with fun, discovery, creativity, and meaningful learning. Our unique experiences are designed to nurture confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning in a safe, caring environment.
Jump Jam
Every morning at 9:00am, our children come together for Jump Jam! This energetic movement session is a favourite part of the day, helping children develop coordination, confidence, balance, and gross motor skills while having lots of fun with their friends.
KCC Farm
Our much-loved KCC Farm gives children hands-on opportunities to connect with nature and care for our friendly animals, including rabbits, birds, quails, and more. Feeding and caring for our animals teaches kindness, empathy, responsibility, and respect for living things.
Dedicated 4's+ Learning Hub
Our dedicated 4's+ Learning Hub provides a specialised learning environment for children aged four and over as they prepare for primary school. Guided by Te Whāriki and inspired by the New Zealand Curriculum, children develop confidence, independence, early literacy and numeracy skills, and a love of learning through engaging, play-based experiences. Our programme helps children build the skills they need for a positive and successful transition to school.
Gardening & Nature Exploration
Children enjoy getting their hands dirty in our gardens, learning where food comes from, caring for plants, and exploring the natural world around them. These experiences help build an appreciation for the environment while encouraging curiosity and responsibility.
Learning Together
At KCC, we value the relationships children build with one another. Throughout the day, children have opportunities to learn and play alongside peers of different ages, fostering tuākana-tēina relationships where older or more experienced children (tuākana) naturally support and guide younger or less experienced children (tēina). These meaningful interactions encourage confidence, leadership, empathy, cooperation, and a strong sense of belonging. By learning from and alongside one another, children develop lasting friendships while becoming valued members of our KCC whānau.
Connected with KCC Kids Club
As part of the Kids Crafty Clubs whānau, families have the convenience of continuing their child's journey with KCC Kids Club once they start school. We offer before and after school care, school holiday programmes, and teacher-only day care, providing a familiar, fun, and supportive environment with many of the same friendly faces your child already knows and trusts.
